All for the better. Therapy works.

I'm in Melbourne reading The Age Sunday life. Lucy Cavendish has kindly shared her therapy journey with us. In her 'article all for the better'.

She tried therapy in her earlier years. Some slightly alternative stuff - rebirthing and such. They weren't so enlightening so little wonder she didn't feel comfortable.

Lucy set her mind to get help. She sought therapy two years ago. It's been an intense journey and has changed her life in this time.

Caring is vital. Guilt needs to be addressed. Low self esteem is often a horrible consequence of growing up in a dysfunctional household. When a parent is affected by alcohol they are not there emotionally for their children. Of course there is the grief of this sad impact.

Therapy works to resolve these issues and get you up and running in your life. Any stunted emotionally growth quickly becomes a learning platform of healing.

Thanks for Sharing Lucy.
Good Therapy helps. What's your experience with therapy?
What kept you going ?
What made you leave ? I'm interested.
